What the inspector wrote

On 08/07/2024 at 12:20 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Crystal Green conducted an announced Case Management inspection for a change in licensed capacity. Upon arrival, Licensing Staff met with Facility Representative Amber Cervantes. This facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 40 children ages TK and above in classroom P59, which is also used the music room at Martha Baldwin Elementary School. The Licensee, Options for Learning, has requested to increase their licensed capacity to 68 by adding a classroom called Bungalow #1 and using the classroom between the hours of 6:30 am to 8:00 am to provide before school care. Bungalow #1 is also licensed for use by the same licensee as a preschool program (19800649) during the hours of 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. The Facility hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 8:00am and 1pm to 6:00 pm. There were no children present during today\342\200\231s inspection. Per Facility Representative, facility is closed for summer break. LPA continued to tour the facility. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water will be available in the classrooms via filtered water dispenser. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. This facility is exempted from the indoor and outdoor square footage due to operating on a functioning school site. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Shade is provided via shade canopies. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. Facility Representative was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. Page 2: No corrections are needed at this time. Upon final file review, a license for a capacity of (68) children ages TK and above in (2) classrooms: P59 and Bungalow #1 will be granted. A notice of site visit was given to facility representative, Amber Cervantes, and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
