What the inspector wrote

On 11/8/23 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alicia Mooberry conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection in Spanish as requirement of the three (3) years probation beginning on 10/07/21. LPA arrived at 10:45 to the facility and met with Sheila Pencatl-Ponce and Gabriela Hinojosa-Reyes, Assistants. There were seven (7) daycare children present (including infants) playing in the sideyard . LPA toured the facility. Sandra Benitez arrived at the facility at approximately 11:00am. Also present was Israel Quero. All adults present have the required criminal record clearance. Individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted. Off limit areas including the upstairs level, kitchen and the backyard of home are made inaccessible by safety gates. LPA observed that the safety gates at the base of stairs and kitchen are in good working order. The outdoor play area was observed to be secure. All areas on the facility sketch that are accessible to children in care were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness, inaccessibility to poisons , detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger if readily available. LPA observed an outdoor sink and a water fountain in backyard area that is inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed 2 large well maintained enclosures containing tropical birds. Children were observed to be supervised during inspection. Per licensee the children are supervised at all times during outdoor playtime. LPA discussed water safety with licensee and reporting requirements. LPA reviewed staff facility files. Licensee CPR/First Aid expires 08/2025. The required posting including the facility license and Parent's Rights poster were observed in a prominent location in the living room. Based on record reviews and LPA observations, no deficiencies were cited during this inspection. Exit interview conducted with licensee, Sandra Benitez.
