On 05/22/25, at 12:35pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susann Sanchez conducted an unannounced Annual Random inspection and met with Licensee Glenda Dunn. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry unto the facility by the Licensee.
Facility capacity is in compliance for a Large Family Child Care Home. Hours of operation are Mon-Sunday 24 hours a day. The Licensee understands that a child cannot be in care for over 24 hours in a day. There were 2 infants, 11 children, present with the Licensee's and 2 assistants.
This is a one story home which consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Areas used by the children include the living room, den, restroom, kitchen/dining area, and gated front and backyard. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: three bedrooms, one restroom, and garage. The Licensee uses the living room as the designated ill isolation area. Food is provided by Licensee. Licensee was reminded if children bring food from home it must be labeled with the child\342\200\231s name and properly stored or refrigerated. Individuals residing in the home have been discussed and noted. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption. All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection: LPA reviewed required posted documentation for Facility License and Publication (PUB) 394- Notification of Parent Rights. Facility records were reviewed for LIC 9040- Facility Roster, LIC 610- Facility Disaster Plan and Disaster drill log, last drill conducted on 02/19/25.

Due to children napping, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors will be tested via Facetime on 05/23/25, between 8am to 12:00pm.
Currently licensee cares for two infants. LPA observed one play yard visible in the den. Napping equipment does not block entrances or exits. Infant mattresses were observed to be firm with tightly fitted sheets. LPA did not observe loose object, bumpers, objects hanging, or objects attached to the cribs/play yards. There are currently no infants with pacifiers. Per Licensee wet or soiled sheets are changed and washed immediately. Each infant has their play yard and bedding. Bedding is washed weekly. LPA reminded Licensee of the new Safe sleep regulations, including LIC 9227 Infant Sleep Plan for infants under 12 months and 15 minute sleep check documentation for infants 0-24 months. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at
https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep
as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at
https://www.cpsc.gov/
and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
Licensee provides overnight care supervision. Licensee is aware that they must remain wake while children are awake. If children sleep in separate area from Licensee, the door must remain open. If Licensee cannot hear children when they wake up, video or audio device can be used.
Children are using the front yard and backyard for outdoor play. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA did not observe any objects that could be hazardous to children in care.
