Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilli Babcock conducted a Case Management visit on 10/2/25 to address information revealed during a complaint investigation. LPA met with Director, Maribeth Peralta. Census was taken. There were twelve (12) children and three (3) staff present in the Infant Classroom and ten (10) children with two (2) staff present in the Toddler Classroom. On 8/4/25 LPA Babcock visited the facility to conduct a complaint investigation visit for the preschool license. During interviews on 8/4/25 it was disclosed that at the end of outdoor playtime in July of 2025, Staff #3 was caring for three (3) children on the toddler playground after all the other staff and children had gone into the toddler classroom. Staff #3 disclosed they took one child to the classroom door and left the other two children sitting under the play structure with the slide located nearest to the gate separating the toddler and infant playgrounds. Staff #3 stated they did not enter the classroom and was able to see the children sitting under the play structure. During the visit on 10/2/25, LPA Babcock conducted interviews with five (5) staff. During interviews conducted on 10/2/25, all five (5) staff stated it is the policy at Primanti for each teacher to take their group of children from the playground into the classroom and it is not the policy in the toddler room at Primanti to be the last staff on the playground and leave children on the playground to take one child to the toddler door. Page 1 of 2 A Technical Advisory was issued for not following the facility policy when bringing children from the toddler playground into the toddler classroom.
