Annual inspection identified deficiencies in furniture appropriateness and staff training documentation. School age child observed sleeping on toddler cot; facility storing unused infant equipment; assistant missing required training certificate.

Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that LPA observed a school age child laying on a cot with her knees bend and folded up to her chest in a toddler cot. During staff interview Licensee, disclosed that they believed that cots were age appropriate for school age children which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
