What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elka Chavez conducted an unannounced case management inspection to follow up on two incidents that were reported to the Department on 02/25/2022 and 04/11/2022. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee, Brisa Ocean who provided LPA a tour of the facility. Census was taken. On 02/25/2022, an incident was reported to the department where a child stepped on another child's hand during music and movement time. The facility reported this incident to the Department within the required 24 hours. During this inspection LPA interviewed staff who observed the incident. LPA observed the outdoor area where the incident took place. LPA obtained and reviewed documentation. Based on the information obtained and LPA observation of the play area, LPA determined there was adequate supervision provided the day of the incident. On 04/11/2022 an incident was reported to the department where child #1 had an allergic reaction during nap time and had to be administered with medication at the facility. The facility has a written IMS plan for child #1. Copy of these procedures for providing IMS services was provided by the facility. Based on the information collected during this inspection there were no deficiencies cited for the two incidents. Exit interview conducted with the Licensee, B risa Ocean.
