What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Cynthia Reyes and Steven Tung, conducted an announced pre-licensing site Inspection for the purpose of following up to ensure all corrections noted on the licensing report dated 08/11/2021 have been completed. LPA met with Maria Flores, Owner. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures were taken during the entire inspection and all individuals present during this inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. The applicant is requesting a total capacity of 42 preschool children. The facility is also requesting a Infant (198020744) and school age (198020743) license. The days & hours of the Preschool license will be Monday- Friday 6:30 AM-6:30 PM. Applicant stated she made some changes to the facility that may change the capacity she previously requested. LPAs will need to inspect and re-measure the requested Preschool component for new capacity determination. At 11:30 AM, LPAs began the tour of the facility with applicant Maria, beginning outside in the preschool play yard. LPAs re-measured and observed that the preschool yard needs cob webs to be cleaned around the toys before the facility is open for business. The preschool children have their own outdoor play yard as the applicant added a fence to separate the yard from the other components play yards. LPAs re-measured the preschool yard for capacity determination. Corrections needed from 08/11/2021 inspected and observed on this date to be completed. 1) Need gate to separate the outside play yard & walk way. (LPAs observed and re-measured the yard). 2) Fire Extinguisher serviced. (LPAs observed service date of 08/04/2021) (Applicant brought extra from another site) 3) Final File Review (LPA completed) 4) Outside parent board with canopy. (LPAs observed on this date) 5) Signs on room doors. (LPAs observed on this date). Page 2 The new staff lounge will be used as an ill/isolation area and has a mat for a child to rest if needed. Ill children will use the new staff bathroom located in the staff lounge. The ill/isolation area will be used by all components (Infant/Toddler/Preschool & School age). A fire clearance was approved on 03/01/2021 and on file for a capacity of 42 preschool children. Final corrections needed before a license can be granted 1) Update Application 200B 2) Updated Facility Sketches for the indoor and the outdoors 3) Proof of pest controls for mosquitos in the facility. 4) Proof of the facility completed clean and set up ready for business. 1 PM, Exit interview was conducted in person with Maria Flores. Consultation regarding the licensing state laws and regulations, were conducted through out this inspection
