Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 4/7/2025 at 9:00 am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Carolyn Tuba conducted an unannounced Proof of Correction (POC) inspection to ensure the deficiency cited on 3/28/2025, during a Case Management visit has been corrected. A COVID risk assessment was conducted. LPA met with staff member, Arianna Gomez as Director, Maria Flores was not present and arrived at approximately, 9:45 am. LPA also met with staff member, Arely Gomez who was present in the infant program. LPA obtained a census of 8 children with 1 staff. LPA consulted with the Director about the comingling of preschool and school-age children and explained the importance of having children enrolled in their assigned programs within the facility (school-age, preschool and infant) and should not be placed in programs they are not enrolled. LPA and Director consulted that if staffing is not available for the school-age program for example due to holiday and breaks that may exist at the local elementary schools that school-age children are enrolled outside of the facility, then parents may have to be turned away or plan ahead of time if they require all day care outside of the scheduled time. Director will be writing a letter to parents about their children having unscheduled drop-ins and will require prior approval by the facility. Director also stated that she will be having a staff meeting to ensure that staff are aware of not accepting children into programs they are not enrolled in. LPA cleared the deficiency during today’s visit and issued Proof of Correction (POC) clearance letter for the facility’s recordkeeping. At this time, there are no deficiencies being cited and the facility is now in compliance according to Title 22 Rules and Regulations. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Maria Flores.
