On 8/7/2024, at 1:45pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carolyn Tuba conducted an unannounced Annual inspection. The Director\342\200\231s office is at the entrance and staff sit behind a counter monitoring the flow of parents and children who enter and exit the facility. LPA met with Assistant Director, Lynette Almazan-Edwards. LPA was guided on a tour of the facility indoors and outdoors. This is an infant program licensed for 26 children including a preschool with toddler option and school-age components. This program operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The following classroom was inspected: The infant room with 3 children and 1 staff and the older infants/toddlers classroom had 12 children with 3 staff. All staff members are fingerprint cleared. Licensed facility is within the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. The facility has additional staff members to support the facility and assist with preparing meals and distributing to classrooms, as well as any other staff and children\342\200\231s needs. A ratio count is conducted through-out the day and documented. The classroom furniture and equipment were inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Indoor classrooms were inspected to ensure that the floors have a surface that is safe and clean. Telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated. There are cubbies for children\342\200\231s belongings. Infants have enough cribs with firm mattresses in its own designated area, as well as children\342\200\231s cots for infants over a year old. Fitted sheets are supplied by the facility and laundered weekly and as needed for the younger infants. The older infants/toddlers who sleep on cots, parents provide fitted sheets and blankets. Page 1 of 4 The children bring them on Monday and they are sent home on Friday for laundering and as needed due to accidents or illnesses. LPA observed the 15-minute sleep documentation done by written form and is kept for a year. Sleeping, diapering and feedings times are entered to an app called Sprout About for parents to have access to the information. Availability of drinking water was reviewed and per Assistant Director parents provide water from home in sippy cups and refills are available by the use of a Britta Pitcher. There is a changing table with arm\342\200\231s length sink for hand washing. The older/toddler classroom currently has a bathroom, but the toilet has a child-proof lock, and the sink is used for handwashing. Each classroom had an additional sink for staff handwashing. Diapers and wipes are supplied by the facility. Toys and surfaces are observed to be safe and clean. Staff restroom is available in the facility\342\200\231s hallway near the entrance.
