Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Allegation #2: Uncleared adult has access to day care children According to the allegation, Staff #2 (S2) is not fingerprint cleared. Licensee stated S2 worked in the office at the facility and S2 has been fingerprinted however S2 is not cleared at this time. During record review, LPA observed Guardian background clearance database shows the fingerprints for S2 are “In Process”. Parents and children’s statements were consistent in establishing S2 has been on the facility premises. Parent #6 stated S2 “works at the front desk”. Children interviewed disclosed they know S2 by name. Child #1 stated S2 “works in Miss Jennifer’s office”. Child #2 (C2) stated S2 “works on the computer”. All children interviewed stated S2 does not interact or play with them. Based on the information gathered, and interviews conducted, it was determined that S2 was at the facility without fingerprint clearance. The preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, Title 22 Chapter 1 are being cited on the attached 9099D. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Jennifer Monroy. Page 2 of 2
