What the inspector wrote

On 11/21/25 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Diana Ortiz and Lilli Babcock conducted an unannounced Case Management \342\200\223 Licensee Initiated visit to the above facility for the purpose of evaluating the Licensee\342\200\231s request for a capacity increase from 8 to 14. Fire clearance for a capacity of 14 was granted on 10/29/25. LPAs met with Licensee, Deshika Abeysekara, to whom the reason for the visit was explained. Per Licensee, there are 5 children currently enrolled. Census was taken and LPAs observed 2 children in care at the time of visit. The licensee states that 3 adults currently live in the home. All adults living in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance. At 1:50pm, Licensee guided analyst on a tour of the facility. During this visit, all areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were toured and inspected and the following was observed. This is a single-family home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, dining area, living room, kitchen, front yard, back yard, enclosed side yard, and garage. Areas used by the children include the living room, the \302\275 bathroom, enclosed side yard, and dining area. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents are front yard, back yard, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms kitchen and garage. At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. No deficiencies cited. The capacity increase request for a Large Family Child Care will be submitted for review. Once a capacity increase is issued, the Licensee is required to adhere to the terms and limitations as stated on the license. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
