What Happened
Annual unannounced inspection (conducted in Armenian) identified multiple deficiencies including missing pool alarm, non-functional child safety latches, unserviced fire extinguisher, accessible hazardous materials, and no documented fire drills. Licensing corrections required.
Observations
- In-ground pool in back of property with 60-inch fencing on one side and cement walls on other three sides
- Pool alarm not placed in swimming pool as required
- Daily pool inspection and maintenance log not documented
- Fire extinguisher purchased 09/06/24 but not serviced annually (violation)
- Child safety latch on knife drawer not working properly
- Child safety latch under sink with cleaning compounds not working properly
- Detergents, cleaning compounds, and medications accessible to children in kitchen
- No fire drills conducted since licensee has been licensed
- One of 6 children's files not available for review
- Infant sleeping plan (LIC 9227) not completed for infants (required for children under 12 months)
- Missing facility roster at time of inspection
- No liability insurance or bond in accordance with Family Child Care standards
- Two infants ages 18-20 months currently enrolled
