What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilli Babcock conducted an unannounced POC (plan of correction) inspection to ensure that the Type B deficiencies cited on 11/25/25 have been cleared. LPA arrived at the facility at 2:15 pm but Licensee was away from the facility and picking up children from school. LPA called Licensee via telephone and explained the reason for the visit. Licensee arrived at the facility at 3:05 pm. Licensee guided analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA observed six children, including school age children, upon Licensee arrival. The following was observed: \302\267 LPA observed a working pool alarm in the swimming pool. Licensee tested the alarm and it was operable on this day. Licensee provided documentation that the pool alarm meets ASTM International Standard F2208, and Licensee states the alarm will be turned on in the pool during operating hours. \302\267 LPA observed a life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches, which is labeled as approved by the United States Coast Guard. The life ring was placed on the fence and was visible from the swimming pool and readily available for immediate use on this day. \302\267 LPA observed a rescue pole with a body hook longer than 12 feet long. The rescue pole with body hook was by the fence and visible from the swimming pool and readily available for immediate use on this day. LPA cleared the deficiencies on this date and provided a copy of the Licensing Report to Licensee, Dianne Middleton. LPA also issued POC clearance letters to Licensee during the visit. At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. Therefore, no deficiencies are being cited. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Dianne Middleton. Page 1 of 1
