Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 10/7/2025 at 10:00 am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stephanie Li conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection to ensure the above ground pool in the off limit backyard is empty and to obtain a declaration of understanding from licensee. A risk assessment was conducted. Upon arrival, LPA met with licensee Marisa Beasley. During today's visit, LPA inspected the off limits above ground pool in the off limits back yard to ensure it is empty. LPA observed that there was a few inches of rain water collected. LPA informed Licensee that rain water must be emptied during todays visit. Drain was unplugged for rain water to drain during visit. LPA confirmed make and model of above ground pool. Pool model is Bestway Platinum Series Power Steel and had vertical poles. Poles do not have a horizontal strap. Pool that licensee has is not a currently recalled pool. Declaration was obtained from licensee today. Per licensee's declaration, she understands and will ensure that the pool must remain empty at all times. Licensee stated that she will clean the top cover after each rain and empty the pool after each rain. Per licensee's declaration, the off limits bedroom back door has a child safety lock and door alarm and the pool is in the off limits back yard separated by a 5 foot gate that remains locked at all times to ensure children will never have access to the back yard. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee Marisa Beasley .
