What Happened
Annual inspection of the family child care home found a clean, safe layout with a fenced backyard, operable smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. The main issues were missing staff record items, including the licensee's measles immunization record and a mandated reporter certificate for staff, plus the need to keep infant sleep documentation available.
Observations
- A fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed and last serviced on 7/28/22.
- The home had operable smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
- Children's sleep cots were available in the playroom and the facility had two infants enrolled.
- The licensee and staff member's measles immunization records were not available for review, and the mandated reporter certificate for S2 was missing.
