Pre-licensing visit·May 6, 2021

Follow up Prelicensing Tele Inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Alanna Gontarek. LPA met with applicant, Hye Joung. Due to COVID-19 preventative measures, LPA was given a virtual tour of the indoors and outdoors of facility. LPA observed all staff and children wearing face masks during tele visit. The purpose of the follow up tele inspection was to ensure all corrections noted on licensing report dated 3/02/2021 were completed. Corrections: LPA received Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508) and copy of Driver Licenses for: Song Jae Eun and Yang So Yong LPA observed cushioning under play structure on preschool playground. LPA observed available drinking water and cups in both Preschool Classrooms (Joy and Love Room) LPA observed carbon monoxide detectors, secured to walls, in both Love and Joy Room. Applicant tested both carbon monoxide detectors, and both are functioning properly LPA observed age appropriate toys in the Love Room and Joy Room LPA observed first-aid supplies in both Love and Joy Room LPA observed labeled cubbies for children’s belongings in the Love Room and Joy Room. LPA observed cleaning supplies, stored in a bin inaccessible to children, in both Love and Joy Room LPA observed the inside of the inaccessible garage. LPA observed combination lock on door, and a child safety gate. LPA observed Emergency Supply bins with Emergency supplies located inside each classroom, and Emergency backpacks inside the Love and Joy Room as well. LPA advised applicant to keep side gate, leading out to the street, locked and closed. LPA also advised applicant to post a sign stating to keep door locked and closed, along with an "Emergency Exit" sign above gate. LPA advised installing a sounding alarm when gate/doors are opened. Based on observations today, the measured activity space during the inspection dated 3/9/2021, the approved fire clearance , and the number of sinks and toilets available to children, the capacity came out to be 22 children.
