What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alicia Mooberry conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection the facility to follow up on previous inspection and to ensure the facility on in compliance with health and safety regulations. Upon arrival LPA met with Daniel Dobens, Assistant and Informed for the purpose of inspection. There were 10 children present including 3 infants. At 9:45am, LPA observed Infant age 13 months (C1) buckled into car seat, child was awake and moving this poses a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care. Licensee arrived at 9:50am, child was removed from car seat at 10:00am. This is a repeat violation, a $250 civil penalty is assessed. Also present was Ysabel Burnett, assistant. All adults present have obtained the required background clearance and are associated to facility. Individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted. During this inspection LPA corrected previous deficiencies and provided technical assistance on Safe Sleep Regulations and record keeping in Spanish and English. An updated LIC 279b Current Children In the Home was obtained. LPA provided Technical Support (TSP) brochure to licensee. One B deficiency was cited during this visit. Licensee was reminded of their responsibility to stay informed regarding childcare regulation to ensure the health and safety of children in care. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Ita Fanshaw. Appeal Rights were discussed and copy provided
