What the inspector wrote

About 12:00PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) T. Tran and A. Padilla met with licensee/applicant, Maria Frometa and her adult daughter Kelly Frometa for the purpose of conducting a pre-licensing/change of location. Applicant is requesting a change of location for a small capacity from old facility located at 10363 Bellder Dr. Downey CA, 90241 to current location 12641 Cornuta Ave. Downey CA, 90241.The hours of operation are 7:00AM-6:00PM, Monday-Friday. LPAs did not observe any daycare children during today's visit. Per applicant, only applicant, applicant husband, and her adult will be residing in this home. All adults that require a criminal record clearance are cleared. LPA advised applicant prior to any additional adults living or caring for children in the home, they must have a criminal record clearance. The facility is two units\342\200\231 single home. The front and back home each consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, living room/kitchen, and a attached garage (front unit) without access to the home. LPAs toured the home accessible to children. Main daycare area located at the front unit in the living room area. Off limits area will be the kitchen, two bedrooms, garage and the entire back unit. Children do have access to the front unit backyard. Applicant acknowledged that children are never allowed in the off-limit areas. During today's visit, LPAs observed the home is still under construction. The home was not fully furnished. The home is not ready to be licensed at this time. Once the home is fully furnished and set up for daycare, LPA will conduct a case management visit to finalize the licensing process. Applicant will contact LPA to schedule another visit on April 3, 2024, for an inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative, Maria Frometa.
