What the inspector wrote

On 6/25/25 about 9:20AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) T. Tran and L. Voong arrived at 12641 Cornuta Ave. Downey CA 90242 to conduct a case management for capacity increase. The Fire clearance was granted. LPAs met with Maria Frometa and Kelly Frometa Licensees and toured the home inside and outside. Per licensees, no daycare children came today. LPAs observed two children at the daycare that is a relative to the licensees. The home consists of a two units\342\200\231 single homes. The front and back home each have 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, living room/kitchen, and an attached garage (front unit) without access to the home. LPAs toured the home accessible to children. Main daycare area located at the front unit in the living room area. Off limits area will be the kitchen, two bedrooms, and the garage. Children have access to the backyard for outdoor play. The home was found to be clean and orderly with proper ventilation for safety and comfort. The bathroom was inspected for inaccessibility of chemicals/toxins and other potential hazards to children in care. LPA observed the pull fire alarm installed by the entrance. The Fire Extinguisher (2A-10-BC) located in the kitchen area. There is a working smoke detector/carbon monoxide located by the hallway. Per licensees, there are no firearms in the home. No bodies of water observed on the premises during today's visit. Licensee is reminded that smoking is prohibited on the premises during hours of operation. LPAs observed all the required documents posted in the FCCH; Facility License (LIC 203), Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610a), Notification of Parents' Rights Poster (PUB 394), Child Care Facility Roster (LIC9040). Effective _ 6/25/25_ the home is licensed to provide for a max capacity of 14 children with no more than 3 infants, 2 school age children and a qualified assistant. School age children must be 1 age of 6 years and 1 in Kindergarten. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative, Maria Frometa.
