What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Tyler Reyes conducted an announced Pre-licensing inspection to follow up on corrections need to be completed prior to obtaining a small family childcare license. LPA met with Applicant Noe Guerrero and explained the reason for the visit. A tour of the facility was conduct with Applicant Noe. LPA observed no children in care. Wall heater: LPA observed the wall heater located in the on-limit living room. The barricade around the wall heater is constructed with wood and the applicant stated wood is fire proof. LPA observed a 2A10BC fire extinguisher located the kitchen with a service tag 8/19/25. Family Child Care Homes are required to maintain a new or serviced fully charged fire extinguisher which is at least a2A:10BC annually. LPA observed operable smoke and carbon detector. Firearms/Ammunition: Applicant stated there are no firearms on the premises. If firearms are present, LPA verified per Title 22 regulations that they are locked, with ammunition stored separately. LPA provided Applicant with information on how to access Family Child Care Homes Handbook Manuel of Polices and Procedures on California Department of Social Services website. A small Family Child Care Home license will be granted upon review by a Licensing Program Manager. Once licensed, the applicant is required to comply with the terms and limitations stated on the license. Applicant was advised that approval of the application will be determined by the Department once all corrections are received.
