What the inspector wrote

On 2/12/2026 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alicia Mooberry conducted a pre-licensing inspection as a follow-up on corrections needed from previous inspection completed on 2/6/26. The following corrections were observed during this visit. 1. LPA reviewed receipt of purchase for the 2A10BC fire extinguisher 2. Current Pediatric 1st Aid CPR certification for Applicant and assistant 3. Approved Pool requirements:LPA discussed with licensee AB-2866 Swimming Pool Safety and provided technical assistance. LPA observed an in-ground pool in the backyard of home surrounded by metal fencing with height of 5 feet at minumum. The access gate to pool was locked with padlock with a key. LPA observed that the gate self closes and self latches. LPA observed a pool alarm that sounds when an object was placed into the water. Applicant understands that the alarm shall be turned on and be in working condition during a facility\342\200\231s operating hours while the swimming pool is not in use. LPA observed a life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches and labeled as approved by the United States Coast Guard and a rescue pole with a body hook and minimum fixed length of 12 feet placed visible from the swimming pool and readily available for immediate use. LPA provided applicant with PIN 25-21-CCP. During this inspection LPA LPA advised the applicant how to access forms, regulations and quarterly updates on the Child Care Licensing website at: www.ccld.ca.gov . -----Page 1 Report continues On this date, 2/12/26, the California Attorney General - Megan\342\200\231s Law website Meganslaw.ca.gov was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California's Megan's Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility addresses. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. However, the Department conducts a monthly cross reference of each address on record for all registered sex offenders against all CCLD facility addresses pursuant to information shared by California DOJ. Applicant was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org site, a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Homes, children\342\200\231s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted. A large family childcare license will be granted upon completion of all required documentation and corrections. The facility is pending an approved fire clearance. Once licensed, the applicant is required to comply with the terms and limitations stated on the license. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Alicia Barajas, Applicant.
