What Happened
Annual required inspection of family child care home providing 23-hour day/night care. Backyard maintenance issues noted. Two children's files incomplete. Expired mandated reporter training.
Observations
- Backyard has loose leaves collected in various areas due to weather
- Stacked boxes and other clutter in backyard
- One trike in need of repair - removed by licensee during inspection
- Swing set area cluttered with objects and materials on ground
- Children's files incomplete for Child 3 and Child 4
- Licensee had dog indoors in bedroom
- Large outdoor bird cage present
- Baby bouncer observed in living room - removed and placed in inaccessible room during inspection
- Licensee and Assistant Mandated Reporter Training expired (completed 1/30/2023)

Based on record reveiw the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that LPA observed that there was no file for child 3 and child 4, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Licensee stated that she had used the bouncer to place infant to sleep. LPA reviewed safe sleep regulations with licensee. LPA did not observe infant sleeping in the bouncer. Licensee removed bouncer and placed it in a room that children do not have access to. which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
