What the inspector wrote

On 05/21/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection at Kidz Can 2 Oakhurst. LPA met with Director Nancy Alejandrez. LPA explained the purpose for the inspection. An incident was reported to Child Care Licensing Regional Office on 01/28/2025 regarding an injury to a child that reportedly occurred while in care at the Child Care Center on 1/21/2025. An investigation into this incident was conducted by the Department of Social Services Investigations Bureau (IB). Investigator Phillipe Miles conducted the investigation which included, staff, parent, and child(ren) interviews and obtained facility and medical records pertinent to the incident. Based on the investigation conducted, the evidence did not prove by a preponderance of the evidence that a regulatory violation occurred resulting in a citation. It is unable to be determined if the alleged incident of a child being mishandled by staff resulting in injury occurred. Per the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiency is cited during today\342\200\231s visit. Exit interview conducted with Director Nancy Alejandrez. Appeal rights were provided and discussed. Director Alejandrez was provided a copy of appeal rights. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
