What the inspector wrote

On 1/28/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez conducted an announced follow up Pre-Licensing inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Applicant, Deann Grissom who also is the Director and Licensee of facility. The purpose of this inspection was to follow up on the corrections from the 01/21/2026 pre-licensing inspection. On 01/21/2026 the following corrections were needed prior to the issuance of the license: \302\267 The applicant would provide the Department with age verification for both the school-age outdoor climber and the preschool outdoor climber. \302\267 The applicant would wash playground outdoor climbers for both the preschool and school-age. \302\267 The applicant would repair the school-age outdoor climber\342\200\231s rubber steps that was in need of repair. \302\267 The applicant would ensure to have tight fitted sheets for the infants\342\200\231 cribs. \302\267 The applicants would ensure to make the adjacent building\342\200\231s metal panels that are protruding with hard and sharp edges inaccessible to children in care along with the curb edge that was observed to be an estimate of 19 feet by 8 inches and inclines 7 inches in the infant outdoor activity area. During today's inspection, LPA observed that these items listed above were corrected. LPA observed that the playground climbing structures were washed and school age climber steps were repaired. A age verification for both the preschool and school age outdoor climber structures was provided to the Department. The preschool outdoor climber structure is for the ages 2 to 5 years of age. The school age outdoor climber structure is for the ages 5 to 12 years of age. LPA observed that Applicant had tight fitted sheets for the infant cribs. LPA observed that applicant had installed a fence in the infant outdoor activity area to make the adjacent buildings protruding metal panels and curb edge that inclines 7 inches inaccessible to children. LPA observed that fence was firm and had a privacy fence cover to make reaching of the metal panels inaccessible. An exit interview was conducted with the above items discussed and a copy of appeal rights and this report was provided to the Applicant, Deann Grissom. Final license determination will be made upon review by the Licensing Program Manager for a license of 8 infants ages birth to 24 months in the infant classroom; 30 preschool children ages 2 to 5 years in the preschool classroom; and 15 school age children 5 to 12 years of age in the school age classroom. For a total capacity of 53 children.
