On August 7, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Garcia made an unannounced case management visit to add a classroom and met with Director, Deirdre Thomas. The Department received an application with Emergency Disaster Plan and sketches from the director requesting to remove one of their toddler classroom (Song Sparrow) and into a primary preschool classroom. The facility capacity will remain the same at 134 children. There were 25 children and 3 teachers present in the facility for the summer program. During the inspection, the facility was inspected for health and safety hazards. The fire clearance to remove 'Song Sparrow' from the toddler component and add it as part of the primary preschool room was received on June 17, 2025. Based on the initial visit on April 25, 2025 to add the classroom, the indoor space for 'Song Sparrow' classroom is sufficient for up to a total of 31 children. The facility has age appropriate toys, furniture, and equipment available for children, waiting to be set up for the new school year. LPA did not observed any changes with encumbered spaces in the classroom. There are storage spaces for children's personal belongings. There are 3 sinks and 2 total toilets inside the classroom. The outdoor space will remain the same. The yard consist of a gardens and sand area, multiple bikes to ride on with play structures for outdoor activity. As of today's visit, The Song Sparrow classroom is granted by the department to be utilized as a preschool classroom. The new primary preschool classrooms are Pelican, Great Blue Heron, Quail, Mourning Dove and Song Sparrow. In the facility's toddler component, the Sandpiper room is utilized with a maximum capacity of 12 children.
