Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On October 2, 2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Naves and Van conducted a case management inspection and met with Director Allison Brinkley. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Present was Director, 6 teachers, and 18 children in care. The case management was related to the unusual incident report that was submitted to the department Via telephone call on 9/24/25 which occurred at the facility on 9/24/25. The incident that occurred was where a staff member while watering the garden observed a crack pipe in between the sandbox and the fence along the sidewalk. Director showed where the pipe was located. Staff member that found the pipe immediately told Director which in turn immediately wrapped the object in a plastic glove and disposed of it in an outside trash bin away from the school. During the inspection it was discussed what questions to ask of staff following an incident of this type of nature. Due to object being found on school property it is necessary for center to conduct an internal investigation. This appears to be an isolated incident at no fault to center. Exit interview was conducted with Director Allison Brinkley. The report and Notice of Site Visit was provided. Notice of Site Visit will be posted for 30 days.
