What the inspector wrote

On May 17, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Garcia made an announced case management visit to add a classrooms and met with Director, Marine Vaisset. The Department received an application with Emergency Disaster Plan and sketches from the director requesting to temporarily add classrooms 401 and 420 in building 4, during the summer. Per director, the facility's preschool classrooms in building 5 will be renovated during the summer, between July and August. The facility capacity will remain the same at 83 children. There were 52 children and 8 teachers present in the facility during the visit. During the inspection, the facility was inspected for health and safety hazards. Indoor space for classrooms 401 and 420 is sufficient for up to a total of 30 children, with 15 children per classroom. The classrooms has a centralized fire alarm, a smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. The facility has age appropriate toys, furniture, and equipment available for children, ready to be moved and setup once construction starts. There are storage spaces for children's personal belongings located outside the classroom. There are 4 sinks and 2 total toilets inside the classrooms. Additional bathroom with 4 toilets and 2 sinks can be utilized located in between the two classrooms. The outdoor space will remain the same. The yard consist of sand box area, multiple bikes to ride on with play structures for outdoor activity. As of today's visit, the fire inspection is not completed. The room additions will be granted by the department once the fire inspector completes the inspection and received by the LPA. No deficiencies are cited today under the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12. Notice of Site Visit is provided and must remain posted for 30 days. A copy of the report was reviewed and discussed with the Director, Marine Vaisset.
