What the inspector wrote

On December 19, 2023 at approximately 1:10pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, case management visit. LPA met with teacher designated with facility responsibility, Mathy Arevalo, and director, Nahid Talebloo, and explained the purpose of the inspection . Present during LPA's visit included 4 staff with 12 preschool children. Staff present have fingerprint clearance on file. Program is a combination preschool and infant center. Director/applicant, Nahid Talebloo, applied for a school age license in Building 200. Classrooms in Building 200 were previously licensed for preschool license. Preschool program currently operates in adjacent building in Rooms #3 and #4. LPA measured Rooms #3 and #4 to verify square footage is sufficient for current capacity of 40 preschool children. Room #3 was measured for 846.94 sq. ft. allowing for a capacity of 24 children. Room #4 was measured for 842.63 sq. ft. allowing for a capacity of 24 children. Total indoor square footage equals 1,689.57 sq. ft. allowing for a capacity of 48 preschool children. Both Room 3 and Room 4 have one sink each. There is one bathroom in Room 4 with two accessible toilets. There are two additional bathrooms, outside the classrooms, that preschool program has exclusive use of. Bathroom #1 is located directly next to preschool Room #4 (with 3 toilets and 1 sink) and bathroom #2 is located directly next to infant Room #7 (with 2 toilets and 1 sink). Children have access to all sinks (4 total) and all toilets (7 total). Total allowable capacity for sinks is 60 children. Total allowable capacity for toilets is 105 children. LPA discussed with director, preschool program may need an updated fire clearance. Director stated they understood. At approximately 1:30pm, director left facility due to a pre-scheduled appointment. LPA completed visit with teacher designated with facility responsibility. LPA determined indoor capacity, toilet/sink ratio are sufficient for current licensed capacity of 40 preschool children.
