On 2/15/2024, at approximately 9:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jonathan Tse conducted an announced case management visit at the facility. LPA was granted entry to the facility by Director, Kira Rivera. LPA explained the purpose of the visit. Present during the visit was the Director. This facility is a combination infant/preschool center. The preschool license attached is 214005503. LPA inspected the facility for any health and safety hazards. LPA observed the facility to be in clean and orderly condition. There is one classroom meant for preschool age children. There are age-appropriate toys and learning materials present. LPA observed cots to be available for children. Per Director, sheets and blankets will be provided and washed at the facility. Electrical outlets are covered when not in use or obstructed by furniture to be inaccessible to children in care. There is a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher present in the Lobby. Per Director, the facility will be acquiring more fire extinguishers to place in each room. There is a fire alarm system present. LPA discussed lead testing requirements with Director. The facility had shut down in 2021 due to a mud slide damaging two rooms in the facility: the infant napping room on the first floor and a staff room on the second floor. Repairs were completed and the facility is now preparing to reopen, pending fire clearance. There have not been any adjustments to classroom sizes or room layouts. LPA observed that the infant napping room and the staff room were repaired and show no signs of damage or disrepair. The infant napping room is suitable for use as a daycare area and is approved for use. The exterior of the building was also observed to be in good repair. Photos of the repaired rooms were taken during the visit. No deficiencies were cited during today's visit. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
