On April 18, 2024 at 10:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nathan Garcia arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced case management, capacity increase and room addition, in conjunction with an Annual Inspection and met with the Licensee, Pamela Arguedas. Purpose of the inspection was explained. There were 5 children present in the home, two infants, and three preschool age children. All adults living and working in the home have fingerprint clearance and are associated to the facility. Licensee rents the home, which is a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom house with a backyard. Licensee lives in home with husband and one adult child and pet dog. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30am- 5:30pm. LPA and licensee inspected day care areas for health and safety hazards. Licensee would like to add bedroom #1 to be part of the facility. LPA inspected the room and observed there were multiple cribs present and a bed. LPA spoke to inspector on 4/17/24 and per inspector, the dead bolt must be removed or replaced with a door knob that works in tandem. Licensee will provide proof to inspector once completed. Daycare areas : Living room, dining room, backyard and bathroom #1 Off Limit areas : Kitchen, family room, bedroom #1, #2 and #3, bathroom #2, garage and half of the backyard. LPA observed that off limit areas were properly barricaded and made inaccessible to the children in care. LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There are a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which are in good condition. Home has a fireplace that is properly barricaded/sealed off.
