What the inspector wrote
On January 9, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Naves conducted an unannounced annual visit and met with Licensee, Cristiane Ferreira. LPA explained the purpose of the visit to the Licensee and was given access to the property. The licensee and her husband supervised 7 children today, 4 infants and 3 pre-k aged children. The Licensee complies with the large licensing capacity and limits today.
The Licensee and her husband have cleared criminal record clearance verified with the CDSS Guardian site. The licensee has current liability insurance for her daycare and the policy from MARKEL was presented to the LPA. Present were 1 dog and 1 cat that are vaccinated.
The days and hours of the operation are Monday \342\200\223 Friday from 7:45 am \342\200\223 5:30 pm. Licensee provides breakfast and snacks for children in care and also has a lunch service available upon request by parents.
There are no changes to the childcare areas previously approved, with the same off-limits and childcare areas.
Daycare areas:
Living room, Bathroom, Bedroom # 1, Playroom, and Kitchen (Walk Through Only).
Off-limits areas
: Master Bedroom, and the Garage. All off-limit locations have been adequately gated.

LPA provided licensee with LIC 126 Entrance Checklist for documents and items to be reviewed today during inspection.
LPA and the Licensee inspected the childcare areas for any potential dangers to health and safety hazards. LPA observed the childcare areas were in good condition and clean. The toys provided were age-appropriate and included imaginative, creative, and manipulative play. Moreover, the heating, lighting, and ventilation were sufficient, and no potential hazards could endanger children in care. The outside area had age-appropriate toys and slides. No toys were broken or in disrepair. The outdoor play area has turf that protects from any falls and is gated.
The fireplace is observed barricaded by a fireplace screen and a table. 3 cribs and children\342\200\231s sleeping beds were observed in the childcare area. Licensee has designated one of the nap rooms as an isolation area if a child becomes ill while under care and awaiting for pick up.
LPA observed the door to the nap room was closed while children were napping. LPA reminded licensee that if an infant is sleeping in a separate room from where the provider is stationed, the door to where the infant is sleeping in must remain open at all times and the provider must be able to visually observe the infant without moving the door. LPA observed an infant napping with a small blanket/cloth. LPA reminded licensee all cribs must be clear of any blankets, toys, and pillows while an infant is napping. Licensee understood and immediately removed the item. Technical violations were issued.
LPA also reminded licensee children should not be placed near a door way that may hinder an exit in case of an emergency.
The Licensee had a fully charged fire extinguisher that met the minimum standards of 2A 10 BC, along with multiple combinations of carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. A functional phone was also available in case of emergencies. A fully equipped first Aid kit was available.

Cleaning agents and detergents were safely stored out of children's reach. The Licensee has no guns in the home. LPA did not observe baby walkers, bouncers, or similar equipment in the childcare areas, and the Licensee was reminded that smoking is prohibited in the family childcare home.
The licensee and her husband have complete records and have met all the necessary licensing requirements, including completing required immunizations, current mandated reporter training certifications, and maintaining valid Pediatric CPR/First Aid certifications. Licensees CPR/ First Aid expires 9/2027 and Mandated Reporter training expires 11/2027. Licensee and her husband both have taken their Flu shots.
All the required posting documentation, such as the facility license, Notification of Parental Rights, and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist, have been placed in a prominent area for parents or representatives to review. According to the licensee, regular fire and earthquake drills are conducted at least once every month. The latest drill was conducted on 12/18/2025 and properly logged.
6 children's records were reviewed. The licensee maintains accurate records for each child, including vaccination records, parental rights forms, and complete emergency information. These emergency documents contain information such as the child's full name, phone number, and the location of a parent or authorized person who may be contacted in an emergency. The records also contain the name and phone number of the child's doctor and the parent's permission for the licensee to consent to emergency medical care if needed. The licensee maintained a record of the infant's sleeping logs and provided it to LPA for review during the inspection.
Licensee provided LPA with LIC 9040 Children Roster and was found to be complete.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

as an additional resource. LPA also informed the Licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at

and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. The Licensee was reminded about the Provider Information Notices (PINs) on the CCLD website. Licensee was informed that as of September 1, 2016, a person may not be employed or volunteer at a childcare facility unless he or she has been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles or qualifies for an exemption pursuant to Health and Safety code 1596.7995 and 1597.662.
LPA reviewed AB 1207 with the Licensees. As of January 1, 2018, all staff must complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at

. Effective July 1, 2020, Licensees must have proof of completion of EMSA certified lead poison training if applying for a change of location or capacity change to an existing license.
Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

During the exit interview, the LICENSEE, Cristiane Ferreira, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility, and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
The 80/20 attendance expectation was reviewed with licensee and licensee understood.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee, Cristiane Ferreira.
