Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensee stated there are some children whom I've cared for a long time since they were infants up to entry of Kindergarten or longer. The child(ren) that have left my day care are due to children being older or have moved elsewhere, but there were no issues, problems or concerns. Licensee stated she communicates with all the parents regarding any issues they are having with their children, or if she notices something is going on with a child she will talk to parent to see if there are any issues going on with child at home. Licensee stated "I have no idea who or of a child that has a problem. I am very careful with all the children and treat them with respect". Licensee stated a while back approximately one year ago I was going down the steps to the day care area and I almost fell. I immediately held onto a child that was standing right by the steps to keep from falling and grabbled on from the back of child's shirt or sweatshirt, can't recall. Child got scared and said "Betty you pulled me", and I told child "no, it was an accident, I was going to fall and held onto you". Licensee stated it was an older school age child. Licensee stated she felt that she was being falsely accused of the allegations. Interviews conducted and records reviewed do not corroborate with the allegations. During the inspection tours of the facility, LPA observed the Licensee promptly tending to all the children's needs. LPA observed Licensee conducting activities and playtime with the children. Based on interviews conducted, although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated. There was no Title 22 deficiency cited based on the above findings. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed and discussed with Licensee, Beatriz Ceja. Appeal Rights were provided. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's visit.
