Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Miguel Herrera attempted to conduct an Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with licensee, Bertha Hernandez and explained the reason of the inspection. Licensee greeted LPA Herrera inside the home and stated that she has not cared for children since 07/2023. LPA explained to Bertha that the Fresno Regional Office had been trying to contact her since LPA Herrera had attempted an annual visit on 09/07/2023. Licensee apologized and stated that she must have not seen the business cards that LPA left at her front door and her phone has been giving her issues, when the phone receives incoming calls it sends them directly to voicemail. Licensee explained that she will not be caring for children until the end of the year once custody is settled for the two children she was caring for. Licensee states she would like to go inactive for a period of 3 months as she expects a custody resolution sometime at the end of the year. LPA explained to licensee that she will need to continue paying for her annual fees and follow licensing regulations during her inactive period of 3 months. LPA talked to licensee regarding the inactive status and licensee agreed to go inactive starting 10/10/2023 till 01/10/2024. Licensee was assisted with the online payment of her licensing fees. LPA Herrera also assisted Licensee Hernandez with the completion of the LIC 9211. No deficiencies were observed during todays inspection.
