Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On October 25, 2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha De Haro conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA De Haro met with Lead Teacher Jose Delgado The purpose of today\342\200\231s inspection was to conduct a case management inspection and to follow up with the facility regarding a lead exceedance referred to as an Action Level Exceedance (ALE) of over 5.5 parts per billion (ppb) in the water at the facility. LPA conducted a tour of the facility inside and out and a census was taken. Fresno North Regional Office had received notification of water lead exceedance at the facility resulting from a recent water lead sampling test. Based on records reviewed from BSK Associates and discussions with Lead Teacher Jose Delgado, there was a prior exceedance to outlet B in the facility, testing at 6.6 parts per billion (ppb). Per Mr. Delgado, the facility had since remediated the excceedance by removing the exterior drinking fountain (outlet B). LPA De Haro inspected outlet B and it was observed to have been removed. The facility is providing alternative potable water to children, visitors, and staff during hours of operation. Parents/authorized representatives have been notified of the ALE and corrective action already taken, and results of the lead testing results were posted on the parent board. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited during today's inspection. An exit interview was conducted with Lead Teacher Mr. Delgado. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
