What the inspector wrote

On 03/25/2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Ka Vang, Elizabeth Torres, and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Cynthia Brannon arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced case management inspection and met Site Supervisor Kiana Sanajouyan. Also present was, facility representative, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Coordinator, Rosie (Maria) Martinez. LPAs toured the facility inside and outside and a census was taken. The reason for today's inspection was to follow-up with the Plan of Correction (POC) and remeasure the classroom that is being utilized for the preschool children. During the inspection, the classroom was remeasured, and the approximate inside square footage is 1,007. The square footage will accommodate the licensed capacity of 20 preschool children. Licensee will utilize an area as the parent resource; therefore, the children will not have access to the parent resources area as Licensee will utilize a children safety gate to prevent the children from having access to the parent resources area. Facility representative will submit an update facility sketch (LIC 999A) to Licensing-Fresno Office by 04/12/2024. There is also adequate storage space available for children's belongings. Toys and equipment are age appropriate. The facility completed lead testing for the classroom. During today's inspection, LPAs observed a children’s wooded outdoor play kitchen and two children’s plastic outdoor play kitchen that collected rained water with wet sand and dried leaves that is unsafe and unsanitized to the children in care. This deficiency was previously addressed; however, LPAs observed that it is still poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, there is deficiency been cited during today’s inspection. (See page LIC809-D for additional information). Facility representative was provided a copy of appeal rights. A notice of site visit (LIC 9213) was given and must remain posted for 30 days. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Early Childhood Education (ECE) Coordinator, Rosie (Maria) Martinez and Site Supervisor Kiana Sanajouyan.
