What the inspector wrote

On 05/28/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha De Haro, conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by Assistant #1 and Assistant #2. Both Assistants are Spanish speaking only and LPA provided interpretation in the Spanish language. Licensee\342\200\231s adult daughter was also present in the home. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is 209-564-0748. Licensee\342\200\231s hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Licensee operates her daycare on a seasonal basis and is mainly open from March until October. LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. Current facility sketch reviewed and Assistant #1 confirmed that the play room, living room, dining room, hall bathroom, and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by door knob spinners or safety latches. This is a single story home and there are no stairs in the home. The outdoor play area is located in the back yard. It is fenced and no hazards to children were present. Licensee stated that there is no swimming pool or other body of water on the property, which LPA confirmed via observation. Licensee stated that she does not own any firearms or ammunition. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. The home does not have a fire place or open face heaters. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. There are no pets in the home. (Continued on LIC 809-C) LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. There were four (4) infants in care on the day of the inspection. Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. LPA reviewed a sample of children\342\200\231s files and observed files were incomplete. Licensee agreed to obtain and store the missing licensing forms in the children\342\200\231s files at the facility. Licensee\342\200\231s Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 05/06/24.
