On 08/21/2023 at 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susy Cervantes met with director, Janet Kindred for a case management visit to reduce the capacity of the preschool license from 48 to 24. An annual inspection was conducted on 07/07/2023, type B deficiency was cited and was corrected. A fire clearance from the Greenfield Fire Protection District was received prior to today's visit. The following indoor measurements were taken today: Preschool 47.25 x 19.167 = 905.64 minus 41.76 (encumbered space) = 863.88 TOTAL PRESCHOOL INDOOR SPACE: 863.88 sq. ft. divided by 35 = 24 children. Outdoor measurements taken today: PRESCHOOL PLAYGROUND 71.333 x 36.5 = 2603.65 minus 96.94 (encumbered space) = 2,506.71 TOTAL PRESCHOOL OUTDOOR SPACE: 2,506.71 sq. ft. divided by 75 = 33 children. There are 2 toilets (30) and 2 sinks (30) available for the children. Only cold water is available in the children's sinks. There is a separate staff bathroom which is located between the preschool and infant programs and will be used by a sick child. Sick child will be isolated in the Director's office and isolation equipment is provided. There are 28 cubbies, 5 tables of different sizes, 38 chairs, and 24 cots. The playground is surrounded by appropriate fencing. There is a climbing structure with pour and play as resilient material. Drinking water is provided by water dispensers. LPA observed no bodies of water. Shade is provided by a canopy. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director, Janet Kindred. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. LPA advised director that licensure for 24 children is approved pending the following: - Management's approval
