Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marilou Monico, met with Director, Michelle Dominguez, and conducted a Case Management Inspection in response to Licensee's request to change the capacity from 62 to 16 children. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas. Fire clearance for 16 children was granted on June 26, 2025. The following indoor measurements were taken by LPA Macias on 08/14/2018: Building 1/The Little House (previously Bardis Family Preschool Building) 30.225 x 43.747 = 1322.2530 minus 132.311 (encumbered space) = 1189.942 TOTAL INDOOR SPACE = 1189.942 sq.ft. divided 35 = 33 children There are 2 sinks (30) and 2 toilets (30) available for the children. There is a staff bathroom located in Building 1 adjacent to the kitchen. There is an isolation room and bathroom located in the Front Office for sick children and will be accompanied by a teacher. Cleaning supplies are stored inaccessible to children. There are 16 cubbies, 17 chairs, 4 tables and 16 cots for the daycare children. LPA observed a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detector. The center provides morning and afternoon snacks to the children. Lunch is catered to the center from Earthbound Farm Restaurant or Chopstix. There is a kitchen in Building 1 that is equipped with refrigerator, microwaves, dishwasher, and a sink with hot and cold running water. LPA observed a trash can with tight fitting cover for the disposal of solid wastes. Drinking water is available for the children indoor via filtered water and individual water bottles. Continuation on next page: OUTDOOR MEASUREMENTS: PRESCHOOL YARD/PLAYGROUND 1 (taken by LPA Macias on 08/14/2018): 35.118 x 64 = 2247.552 LPA Monico measured the following playground during today's inspection: PLAYGROUND 2 : 69.00 x 48.50 = 3346.5 38.25 x 33.83 = 1293.99 PLAYGROUND 2 TOTAL = 4640.49 minus 75.71 (encumbered space) = 4564.78 TOTAL OUTDOOR SPACES = 6812.332 sq. ft. (2247.552 + 4564.78) divided 75 = 90 children The playgrounds are surrounded with appropriate fencing and the outdoor surfaces are safe. Shade is provided by trees and canopies. There is a climbing structure in Playground 2 with tanbarks as resilient material under and around the structure. Drinking water outdoor is via individual water bottles. There were no bodies of water observed. Director indicated that Playground 2 will be shared with the All Saints Day School TK Program at different times. Waiver request for shared playground space and playground schedule were submitted during the inspection. All individuals subject to criminal record review have fingerprint clearances and associated to the facility. Director, Michelle Dominquez, was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A license for 16 children will be granted upon manager's review and approval. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Michelle Dominguez. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
