Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Shine Yu and Farida Raja, conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year Annual Inspection. LPAs met with center director, Sofia Resendiz. LPA explained the purpose of today's visit. LPAs observed the following posting at wall in center entrance hallway, Facility's License, Notification of Parents\342\200\231 Right Poster, Child Car Seat Law, Personal Rights (LIC 613A), and foods service menu. Emergency Disaster Plan was observed posted in classroom. The center's operating hours are Monday through Friday 07:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The facility serves children ages birth to 2 years old in one infant room. Director stated no transportation provided in the center. LPAs toured the indoor and outdoor areas. LPAs observed that the facility was operating in compliance with teacher to children ratio requirement. Present are 4 teachers and 5 children in infant play ground. LPAs observed the Infant Needs and Service Plan for infants posted on right side wall of classroom. LPAs also checked the 1st Aid kit. Director stated the thermometer is kept in the front desk. LPAs observed 3 cribs kept clean on the left side of classroom. Children's personal items were placed in shelf with name label and are in order. The children's bathroom is clean, sanitary, and operable. Cleaning products, disinfectants, sharp objects were stored inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment were observed to be age appropriate and in good condition. LPA observed diaper changing area and sink is close by. Refrigerator has two bottles of 1% milk and two bottles of whole milk. LPA observed the infant sleeping check log is current. (continue on page 2) LPAs observed trash cans with tight fitting covers for the disposal of solid waste. LPAs observed fire extinguishers, fire alarm and sprinklers in the infant classroom. The latest service dated 01/31/2025. Director stated that there are no firearms in the facility. Drinking water is readily available for the children outdoor via water pitcher and cups. The playground is surrounded by appropriate fencing and the outdoor surfaces are safe. Shades are provided by trees and umbrellas. LPAs observed age appropriate toys in playground. LPAs observed artificial grass as resilient material under and around the climbing structures. Director stated there is no pool in the center. There were no bodies of water observed. LPAs reviewed electronic sign in and out records in director's computer. LPAs reviewed three (3) children's files. Children records reviewed include Admission Agreement, Identification and Emergency Information, Individual Infant Sleeping Plan, Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment form, Parent Right's Receipt, Personal Rights, Physician's Report, Health History, Immunization, and TB test. LPAs reviewed two (2) staff files. Staff records reviewed include Employee Rights, Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse, Health Screening Report with TB Clearance, immunization (Measles, Pertussis, and Influenza) and required training. One staff present during the inspection has current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification expires 06/16/2025. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). LPAs verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1.CCP . Water lead testing was completed by the facility in June, 2022 and no Action Level Exceedance were reported. (continue on page 3) LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPAs also informed director of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPAs reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies which are inaccessible to children, and reviewed medication plans and doctor's proofs. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP.
