What Happened
Case-management capacity-increase review for a home facility found operational conditions and required clearances in good order, with no deficiencies cited for the visit date. The licensee was provided conditions for approved capacity increase pending management approval. Fire safety and supervision/capacity requirements were reinforced.
Observations
- Observed 1 infant and 3 preschoolers plus assistant in care at time of visit.
- Verified recent fire extinguisher service (3A40BC on 06/01/2022), operable smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and no bodies of water.
- Confirmed covered fireplace, no stairs, and no weapons in home; pet present and vaccinated.
- Reviewed and reinforced ratio/capacity requirements and assistant requirements for large FCCH operations.
- Applied fire clearance-use restrictions (garage, laundry, master bed/rooms off-limits for care).
