Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

At 12:35pm on 5/29/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Gallo met with licensee Giovanna Molina to conduct a plan of correction visit related to a citation issued on 5/28/2025. Upon arrival, LPA observed a census of 5 children consisting of 4 preschool children and 1 school aged child. Licensee's husband was also present for the inspection. Licensee was previously cited a Type A deficiency on 5/28/2025 due to a hot tub spa in an off-limit area which featured a hard cover that was closed, but did not feature functioning locks to keep the cover locked when children were present. The plan of correction stated that the licensee would fix the issue in 24 hours by installing new locks, and that LPA would return to ensure compliance. During today's visit, LPA observed that the new locks were installed, and that the hard cover locked in a way that made the body of water inaccessible to children. The plan of correction has been fulfilled and is therefore cleared. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Giovanna Molina. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
