What the inspector wrote

On 12/09/2025 at 8:50am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sarah Garcia conducted a Plan of Correction (POC) inspection in response to a deficiencies cited on 11/20/202 5. LPA met with licensee, Blanca Galindo and assistant, Alicia Cruz Rojas. During the inspection there were 6 children present with two assistants and licensee. A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates all facility staff and other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. The 4 out of 5 deficiencies that were previously cited on a LIC 809 dated 11/20/2025 have been cleared. During today's visit, LPA inspected the pool to be self closing and self latching. LPA inspected the life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches. LPA measured the body hook with a fixed length of 7 feet and 8 inches. This is not in compliance with regulations. Based on record review, the last fire drill was conducted on 2/8/2025. LPA observed the infant safe sleep observation log from 11/20/25-12/4/25 for children under 24 months and younger. LPA observed the daily pool safety checklist. The following POCs are still required; the pool alarm and the body hook with a fixed length of 12 feet. Appeal Rights were explained. The licensee was provided a copy of appeal rights (LIC 9058) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. All appeals must be in writing and received by the Regional Office within 15 business days. First level appeals should be sent to the regional manager to the address listed above. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with licensee, Blanca Galindo.
