What the inspector wrote

Page 2 During the 11/15/2023 initial visit to the facility, children were not interviewed during the visit due to the nature of the allegation. LPA Castanon also interviewed 2 out of 6 parents. Parents did not disclose any pertinent information relating to the allegations of the complaint. Based on Staff and Parent interviews it was determined there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the allegation staff is using narcotics while on the premises. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is Unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, and report was reviewed with Director Laurie Briggs. Notice of Site Visit was posted during the visit. The director was informed that the notice of the site visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in civil penalties of $100. Appeal Rights were explained. The Licensee was provided a copy of appeal rights (LIC 9058) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. All appeals must be in writing and received by the Regional Office within 15 business days. First level appeals should be sent to the regional manager to the address listed above. End of Report

    101216.3(a) Teacher-Child Ratio. There shall be a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 12 children in attendance except as specified in (b) and (c).This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on LPA Bootorabi's staff interviews it was determined that Staff #3 had been left alone with children for 10 minutes due to staffing issues. This poses an immediate safety risk for the children in care.
