On 05/16/2025 at 9:00 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Trinh conducted an unannounced Case Management \342\200\223 Legal/Non-Compliance inspection. Upon arrival, Director Guereca, Irene toured the facility inside and outside and the floor and yard plan (LIC 999) were verified. Census was taken in individual classroom. The overall census observed was 15 infants with 4 staff members. During the inspection it was determined the facility is operating within its licensed capacity and within compliance of staffing ratios. A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date 5/16/2025 indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. INDOOR INSPECTION. INDOOR INSPECTION. During the inspection of the indoor activity space, items which could pose a danger to children (detergents, cleaning compounds, and medications) were observed to be stored out of the reach of children. Poisons/Hazardous Items are not kept on the premises. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers that are kept on, and are in good repair. The Director stated that there are no firearms and/or other dangerous weapons in the facility; none were observed during the inspection. ON-SITE FOOD PREPARATION: Food prep areas were clean and sanitary. Food is properly stored and labeled. Menus were posted where they could be reviewed by parents. Floors, equipment, and furniture were clean and were observed to be in good repair and free of sharp edges. There is drinking water available to children indoors via water bottles with the child\342\200\231s name on it. The children's bathrooms are clean and sanitary. Infant changing tables are placed within arm\342\200\231s reach of a sink. Continued Page 2. Page 2. The facility has age-appropriate furniture and equipment including, but no limited to, cribs or mats, changing table and feeding chairs. A baby walker was not observed during today\342\200\231s visit. The facility has sufficient infant napping equipment that meets the requirements. OUTDOOR INSPECTION: The facility has outdoor activity space for infants that is physically separate from space used by preschool childcare center. The outdoor equipment and toys were in good repair and free of sharp edges. There were no bodies of water in the facility at the time of inspection. Facility met all posting requirement. The California Child Passenger Safety Law was posted by the entrance of the facility. CHILDRENS\342\200\231 RECORDS: The LPA reviewed the files of five children who were present during the inspection. All reviewed files were in compliance and included completed copies of the LIC 700, LIC627, LIC995A, Immunization records, and LIC9224 forms for two dates. The roster shows there is one infant enrolled. LPA reviewed LIC 9227 Individual Infant Sleeping Plan and 15-minute check logs for the infant enrolled. The infant records were in compliance. Staff files were reviewed for staff present during the facility inspection this date, 4 staff files were reviewed. Health screening and immunization's as required were reviewed. Beginning September 1, 2016, Health and Safety (H&S) 1597.622 states, a person shall not be employed or volunteer at a family day care home if he or she has not been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles. Proof of immunization against pertussis, measles for 4 staff were reviewed and within compliance. Beginning March 31, 2018, H&S Code 1596.8662 requires all directors and employees to complete mandated reporting training, and to renew the training every two years. Mandated Reporter Training were completed, all staff members in compliance. At least one staff member present possesses current EMSA approved Pediatric CPR/First Aid certifications, which expires 03/2026. The Director understands that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to the initial presence in a licensed child care facility. Violation of this requirement will result in a citation of a deficiency and civil penalties of one hundred dollars ($100) per violation per day for a maximum of five (5) days. Continued Page 3. Subsequent violations within a twelve (12) month period will result in a civil penalty of one hundred dollars ($100) per violation per day for a maximum of thirty (30) days in accordance with Section 1596.871 of the Health and Safety Code. The licensee understands it is his or her responsibility to review the Provider Information Notices (PIN) found on the CCLD website above. The licensee was informed, and website given, about the California Child Care Disaster Plan has been posted to the UCSF California Childcare Health Program website: cchp.ucsf.edu/content/disaster-preparedness Also provided was information about the E-Learning Modules available at https://ccld.childcarevideos.org A copy of the California Department of Social Services Lead Information Brochure was explained and provided to the facility representative. LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were observed of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12 at the time of the visit.
