What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cindy Nguyen conducted a case management inspection of the facility for the purpose of a room change and a request to change the facility\342\200\231s status from inactive to active. LPA met with Coordinator, Early Education, Darcy Spicer and Program Supervisor, Michelle Miller who gave LPA a walk-through of the facility. Currently the facility is licensed for 24 preschool children in Room C-2. There were no children in care due to the facility being inactive. The staff are exempt from fingerprint clearances as they are fingerprinted through Westminster Unified School District. The facility has requested a room change and remove classroom C-2 from the license and provide care and supervision to 24 preschool children, ages 2.0 years through 5 years in Room K-1, Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Room K1 measured a total of 1,006 square feet which is sufficient for the requested capacity. There are 2 sinks and 2 toilets in room K-1 for children\342\200\231s use which is sufficient for the requested capacity. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Section 101239(h) requires one toilet and sink for every fifteen children. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Section 101238.2, Section 101438.2, and Section 101538.2 require 75 square feet per child of outdoor activity space. No changes made to the outdoor activity space. Waiver for shared outdoor activity space on file. Orange County Fire authority approved the facility for a capacity of 24 preschool children in Room K-1 approved on 09/10/2024. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform. Continue to Page 2 (Page 2) The facility was in compliance with Title 22 Regulations at the time of inspection. A license will be issued after final review, in the event additional requirements are needed, the licensee will be notified . Based on today\342\200\231s indoor measurements, the sinks and toilets available, the request of the facility to utilize classroom K-1 is granted effective 09/23/24. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
