What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Bootorabi conducted a case management inspection of the facility for the addition of 2 permanent rooms ( Permanent Room 5 & Room 6) for the care of children ages 2 years - 6 years . The facility has been licensed for 70 preschool children in Rooms 1,2,3,4, portable 5 and portable 6. The facility is requesting to remove portable rooms 5 & 6 from the facility sketch and add permanent rooms 5 & 6. LPA met with director, DONALDSON, TRACIE who gave LPA a tour of the facility. Rooms 1- 4 are located in the back of the church. Permanent Room 5 & 6 are located by the churches hall. All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. During the tour of the facility LPA observed Room 1: 8 Children with 1 Teacher, Room 2: 8 Children 1 teacher, Room 3: 6 Children and 1 Teacher, Room 4 was empty, Portable Room 5 and Portable Room 6 were empty and not in use. The facility has requested to provide care and supervision to preschool children in permanent classroom Room 5 and Room 6 that are located next to the playground and connected to the main church hall. The LPA consulted the director regarding adding children safety locks to the doors from permanent room 5 and 6 that lead to the church's hall. The facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, before initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Page 1 The measurements are as below: Room 1 - 4 are identical and measure 516.56 square feet divided by 35 = 14.75 (15 Children in each classroom) Permanent Room 5 and 6 are identical and measure 428 Square Feet divided by 35 = 12.22 (12 Children in each classroom) The outdoor space measurements: Playground: Total 6025' divided by 75'= 80 Children Total Sinks 6 x 15= 90 Children Toilets 5 toilets and 1 urinal x 15 = 90 Children Total Classroom Capacity is 84 children. The facility will remain with capacity of 70 children. Based on today's measurements the facility has adequate indoor and outdoor space to serve 70 children. The director, DONALDSON, TRACIE was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org site, a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. The director stated that there are not current children with IMS plans. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP .
