What the inspector wrote

On 05/27/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) K. Trinh conducted a Plan of Correction (POC) inspection in response to deficiencies cited on 05/06/2026. LPA met with licensees, Kathryne Barracoso and Shemaiah Barracoso. During the inspection there were three (3) infants and six (6) preschool age children present playing with the licensees and an assistant. A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates all facility staff and other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Du ring today's visit, LPA verified that the licensees completed the plan of corrections for the in-ground swimming pool. Licensee, Kathryne Barracoso provided LPA with proof of their in-ground pool's inspection log. The pool alarm sounds upon detecting entrance into the water, and is compliant with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F2208. The life ring was labeled as U.S. Coast Guard approved and has a diameter of 20 inches. There was also a life hook that was at least 12 feet in length. The four (4) deficiencies that were previously cited on a LIC 809 dated 05/06/2026 have been cleared. Appeal Rights were explained. The licensee was provided a copy of appeal rights (LIC 9058) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. All appeals must be in writing and received by the Regional Office within 15 business days. First level appeals should be sent to the regional manager to the address listed above. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with licensee, Kathryne Barracoso.
