Facility-requested visit·June 11, 2025

On 6/11/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Jung and Trinh, conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of inspecting the licensee\342\200\231s backyard. LPAs met with the Licensee, Pooja Chaudhri, who was providing care and supervision for eleven preschool children with one assistant. Facility hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates all residents, staff, or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Family Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Licensee is requesting to add their backyard, which was previously off limits, as a day care area. LPAs inspected the yard for safety and did not observe any items there were hazardous to the children. Children\342\200\231s play equipment was in good condition and free of sharp edges. Licensee stated that they will provide visual supervision to the children at all times when using the backyard. Licensee stated that they will ensure that the AC unit remained blocked off completely during facility hours. Based on LPAs\342\200\231 observations, the backyard is safe for day care use. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Pooja Chaudhri. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. End of report.
