Page 1 of 3 On 09/30/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deschampe conducted a follow-up, announced, in-person pre-licensing inspection for a Small Family Child Care Home (FCCH) license. The adult residents received caregiver background clearances or exemptions as required by the Department. Per the applicant, there is one (1) minor living in the home. The home has 4 pets, 3 cats and 1 frog. Applicant stated the 3 cats have current vaccinations. Criminal Record Clearance : Applicant, Emily Salcido was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code (HSC) section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed FCCH. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. The applicant is requesting a Small FCCH License. Per the applicant, operation hours will be Monday Page 2 of 3 through Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. LPA observed the wall fireplace is inaccessible with fitted plywood, secured with Liquid Nails Heavy Duty adhesive, with additional securing using Gorilla Tough Wide Black Duct Tape, and will be covered with a mesh screen for added security.
