Page 2 During the investigation, LPA toured the facility, obtained the Personal Report, Child Care Roster, interviewed 4 staff (S1-S4) and attempted to interview 3 children (C1-C3). 1 of 3 children interviewed, qualified to be interviewed. On 2/26/2025 LPA Navar received an email titled Incident Report from Red Hill Montessori that stated a staff member had contacted P1 and arranged for C1 to apologize directly to them. On 03/03/2025, during inspection LPA toured classrooms and observed staff supervising some children resting and some napping. 3 of 4 staff interviews conducted on this date, stated they knew of an incident between C1 and P1 where C1 had stated a concerning comment to P1 during lunch time. 2 of 4 staff stated that C1 was placed on a telephone to talk to P1. 1 of 4 staff stated that later in the day they asked C1 what happened and C1 stated that they had said sorry to P1. LPA interviewed C1 who stated that C1 had spoken to a mommy on the phone to say sorry and that C1 felt embarrassed and C1 did not cry. On 03/05/2025, LPA conducted parent interviews. LPA called 6 parents and 3 of the parents called were able to be interviewed. All parents interviewed did not divulge any information pertaining to the allegation or express any concerns regarding care of the children. Based on LPA\342\200\231s records review, interviews with reporting party, staff, children, and parents, the preponderance of evidence has been met; therefore, the allegation of: Staff had a crying child speak to a parent/not their parent, on the telephone to apologize is Substantiated. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1 Section 101223(a)(3), Personal Rights Type B violation is being cited. See LIC9099D for deficiency cited. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Padmini, Weerakkody. The director was informed that the \342\200\234Notice of Site Visit\342\200\235 must be posted on or adjacent to the door for 30 days. Failure to post will result in a Civil Penalty of a $100.00.
